PHA Industry Funded Projects-2024

PHA is excited to share updates on its commitment to driving innovation and solving challenges in the Australian Poultry Industry through targeted research funding.

Two projects have recently been funded as part of PHA’s Industry Research Funding initiative. This program aims to foster collaboration between scientists and industry to develop innovative, applied research projects.

  • The first project, led by Dr. Kosar Gharib-Naseri and Dr. Sosthene Musigwa, is titled Optimising dietary energy, digestible lysine, and essential amino acids-to-true protein ratio to enhance the performance and reduce body fat content in broilers fed reduced protein diets.

  • The second project, led by Dr. Shemil Macelline, is titled Potential impact of betaine and a high dose of xylanase in moderately reduced crude protein diets based on wheat for broiler chickens.

Additionally, the Seed Innovation Grant offers another exciting opportunity for researchers. This grant provides seed funding to support short-term, high-impact projects that explore innovative ideas within the poultry sector. It is specifically designed to encourage research that directly addresses industry needs and challenges. Stay tuned for announcements about newly funded projects under this grant!

PHA is proud to support research that brings new ideas and practical solutions to the poultry industry.
